How I use Shortcuts on the iPhone

Recently, I had to go out of town. I had a pair of tickets to an event (go sharks!) and I was going to miss it. I wanted to get something for the tickets so they didn't go to waste.

I sent out a group email and then started texting people one by one. It took quite a while to draft a message for each person and even longer to get a response.

There had to be a better way, and there was!

Using Shortcuts Keyboard, I was able to quickly draft a message and text it to each person I thought might be interested in buying my tickets.

My phone looked like this:

Sharks Tickets Text Message

At first I thought this was spamming, so I also posted the message on the NHL Ticket exchange, craigslist, and a few other marketplaces. But after sending a handful of messages out to people, I found that it worked. I only sent the message to those whom I thought may be able to go to the game and could benefit from it. Mostly everyone got back to me and eventaually I found a buyer.

I've found a few other uses for Shortcuts Keyboard, too. I've used it to help plan parties, give out information about an event such as the wifi password, where to park, and where we are meeting.

I'm also using it to help promote the app!

I hope you find Shortcuts Keyboard useful. You should download it on the app store and let me know what you think!

P.S. I started using it for referral links, too!
