He’s a <del datetime="2008-11-29T01:02:38+00:00">fat</del> jolly old man with a white beard and a sack full of presents. However, there’s a new twist on Santa over in Los Angeles’s Beverly Center. This year, there’s Hunky Santa:

Hunky Santa is unique to Beverly Center. He is the son of ol’ St. Nick. He is personable, friendly, gregarious, funny, approachable, warm, articulate, confident, unpretentious, easy-going, fit, handsome and has a smile that can light up a room — exactly what you’d expect from Beverly Center.

Basically, he lives at the gym until the holiday Shopping season for an “after-hours” treat:

Hunky Santa doesn’t replace Classic Santa, who is at Beverly Center during the day throughout the holiday season. He takes the evening shift on Friday, Saturday and Sunday to entertain the big girls and boys after his dad heads off to bed for the evening.

But wait, there’s more! Hunky Santa comes equipped with Candy Cane Dancers instead of his “Father’s” elves.

Like Hunky Santa, the Candy Cane Dancers are Beverly Center’s unique take on Santa’s elves. The Candy Cane Dancers are stylish and friendly entertainers who share their holiday cheer with Beverly Center shoppers throughout the season. As part of Hunky Santa’s entourage, the Candy Cane Dancers help make the holiday season fun and hip.

Want more? Check out Beverly Center’s Hunky Santa website.

The year is 2008 and Black Friday is just around the corner. Known for being one of the “most-anticipated” shopping “holidays” of the year. It is the day after Thanksgiving and was created to satisfy holiday shoppers. First you must cook the largest meal of the year but then you get to shop. It is one of the most brilliant ideas that American businesses have created.

What is the significance of Black Friday to this blog? Well I happen to have, in my digital fingers, a PDF file containing Black Friday specials from many of the top retailers around the country. Trust me, you want it.

To be completely honest, I found this over at Cheap Cheap Cheap, but the download took so long because it was hosted through one of those download services that makes you not only wait to download, but attempts to get you to purchase their services so you can have faster downloads.

If you want to this PDF of black-friday-special-goodness and you are an american then send me $20 via paypal and click this link. You don’t have to send me $20; the download is free, however ’tis the season to be jolly!

Also check out blackfriday.info

Before this, Amazon was a place I’d visit if I needed something — not to browse for goods. It’s pretty intuitive too. Move around with your arrow keys, zoom in/out with the space bar and watch or listen to previews simply by zooming in.

Did I mention that you could click-’n-drag through the 3D, eye-popping grid of goodness?
