Hmmm… I followed your advise, and checked the Apple ID web site. I was finally able to get Message beta to work by just using “pik0″ instead of the full address. That was the ticket. Then it allowed me to add the reached for messages at list of addresses to use.

You won’t be able to use two different Apple ID’s because the email addresses will always be in use (since they are the ID).

Hi, thanks for the post.
Very helpful.
However having removed my alternate emails from my AppleIDs (on both the account I want to use, and my other AppleID) Im still getting the same error message.
Any clue as to why this might still be happening?
Could it just be a case of the details at their end not updating right away?

The App Store opened 7/10/2008.
3-1/2 years later, Matt’s iRIT is still the best RIT app in the iOS App Store.

Failure of leadership at RIT – Ya Think?

I’m in the same boat as Nancy and did drag the icon to my applications folder. Even after I do the killall command in the terminal, eject the installer “box” and restart, I get the same prompts from Firefox when I try to open it from the doc. “This is an application form the internet, are you sure, you want to open it” etc, and I get a virus scan on my MacBook.

Can’t seem to figure this out and I’ve read all the help forums, nothing is working. Unless I’m doing this in the wrong order?

This isn’t working for me. I do use Cisco VPN but the killall from the terminal isn’t working. I have a MacBook Pro using Snow Leopard…
