Job boards.. yuck, right?
Filled with people wanting to be the next Mark Zuckerberg by shelling out $500 for a Facebook clone, crazies, and the unrealistic.
However, there are some diamonds in the rough – here's how to find them.
- Search for buzzwords/phrases and avoid them like the plague: one in a life time opportunity! massive opportunity!
- Always sign a contract.
- Be Different. They are likely getting dozens of proposals and if yours doesn't stand out, why even bother?
- When reaching out to a client show them how you can provide value to them, not how many years of experience you have. They'll likely get a ton of responses. Show the you can provide value and you'll be at the top of their list. The first conversation should never be about money, it should be about value.
